Alireza Khademi was a resident of Pakdasht who lost his life in January 2026 during the Iranian protest movements. He was killed by agents of the Islamic Republic, becoming one of the many individuals who sacrificed their lives during the period of the "Lion and Sun National Revolution." His body was later discovered in Kahrizak. A significant and distressing detail of his passing was that an IV catheter (angio-catheter) remained attached to his body when he was found. Alireza is honored with the title "Javidnam," meaning "Immortal," and is remembered by activists as a martyr for the cause of freedom in Iran.
